Pangyaw Synopsis and Trailer





After the success of Ilonggo filmmaker Ronny Poblacion with his 2012 Sineng Pambansa film entry "Beadworks," he's coming back with a second movie entitled "Pangyaw" (Peng You - Friend in Chinese) set for late 2013 cinema and campus tour screening release. The movie is set to have its possible Hong Kong gala premier this year.
The story and screenplay was co-written by Ronelo Sanchez Ladiao and Ronny Poblacion. You can check out the movie's official page in facebook for more details. You can also view the teaser trailer with a link below. Anyway, here's the synopsis of the film:
In a serendipitous tale of love and friendship, young businessman Tom Lopez-Jaena and photography enthusiast Andy Bonifacio will cross path with Jane, a shy and mysterious girl in Hong Kong. Instantly, Jane caught the eye of Tom. Their unpredictable and funny travails in chasing Jane will add another player into the fold – the English-speaking Jason, whom Tom considered as his rival for Jane’s affection. Amidst the emotional rivalry and hilarious moments they had to go through, the power of love and friendship will intertwine their hearts to find out what it means in finding one’s true destiny back home in the Philippines.
